Paddling Out 2017

Those close to us know how busy we are from mid November thru Christmas. Not much time left for paddling until we do our annual camping trip between Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

This year we are spending our down time at Pedder Bay RV Resort & Marina and despite the colder than normal temperatures we paddled for a couple of hours on Wednesday. It certainly felt good to be back in the kayaks even if some of our dormant muscle groups protested from time to time.

It was a good opportunity for bird watching which included a pair of Mute Swans. Looking back to the same time last year we came across a pair of Mute Swans so I'm guessing that they probably are the same ones.

The Race Rocks Light House in the distance.

And there they were again as we were heading back

Hopefully we'll be able to get back on the water on New Year's Eve to formally say good-bye to the 2017 Paddling Year. If not .... Happy New Year!!!

Mark & Robyn
